PHCC National Webinar: Pump Sizing Basics

This session focuses on submersible pump designs and differences including which pump to use for which application.  Other topics include: what questions to ask to  accurately size a pump, why sizing is important, what a pump performance curve is and how to read it, the importance of velocity in pipe, how to calculate TDH. There will be an example of sizing a pump with appropriate charts and tables.

Colorado's New Building Energy Code Requirements

The Colorado Energy Office (CEO) and the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), in partnership with Colorado Counties Inc., the Colorado Municipal League, the Colorado Chapter of the International Code Council, and the Colorado City & County Managers Association, are hosting a series of webinars/listening sessions that will cover the new building energy code requirements that passed in the 2022 Colorado legislative session in House Bill 22-1362, the Energy Code Adoption & Enforcement Grant Program, and energy code training programs. The sessions will also provide an opportunity for building officials, city councilors, city and county managers, county commissioners, and other local government officials and staff to provide input to CEO and DOLA on the development of the Energy Code Adoption & Enforcement Grant Program and other energy code training programs. There will be 3 opportunities to participate in a session on the dates and times listed below; each session will provide the same information.

2022 Legislative and Regulatory Wrap up and 2023 Update

Join PHCC's Chuck White and Mark Valentini for a wrap up of 2022 legislative and regulatory activities and the effects on small business. They will do their best to predict the future activities of Congress and the agencies and describe their efforts to support or oppose the Washington D.C. agenda. Mark will also provide an overview of the recent elections and provide some insights on what the results mean to you.

Presenters

Charles “Chuck” R. White serves as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for PHCC—National Association. White works closely with government regulatory bodies, such as the DOE, and serves on a number of councils and coalitions including NSPC, PERC, ABPA and IAPMO as a representative of PHCC’s contractors. 

Mark Valentini is the Director of Legislative Affairs for PHCC—National Association. A politically savvy, results-oriented professional with more than 20 years of experience on Capitol Hill and with several national trade associations, Valentini applies his expertise in public policy matters related to workforce and training, infrastructure, and financial services to advocate on behalf of all PHCC members.
