On April 16, 2019, Governor Jared Polis signed into law HB19-1086, Plumbing Inspections Insure Compliance. This law implements new rules, effective January 1, 2020, on plumbing inspections a nd contemporaneous reviews of plumbing projects in Colorado. It also modifi es renewal and reinstatement requirements for plumber licenses to include a minimum of 8 hours of continuing education per year. The Plumbing Board wi ll adopt new rules for continuing education requirements and standards by J uly 1, 2020.
